Hoop day at the JCC
World Hoop Day 11/11/11

These are some great peeps! I am so thankful and lucky to have fellow hoopers here with me in NYC. The niche of people here are older and younger... but we all have a love for the hoop. Today happened to be WHD (World hoop day), which does exist! Everyone got together and hooped in Washington square park, we had donations for both veterans and kids in need, and people also made hoops to give away. It was a lot of fun and people really enjoyed it. Taking pictures, videos and even playing with the hoops. We were out there for about 3 hours in like 40 degree weather.... so we are hard core or hoop core lol... Anyways, it is great to have this community here. So much love and gratitude.
So duh!! It snowed the Saturday of Halloween....

What better way to be welcomed to New York than with snow over Halloween weekend! It is a good indicator of the weather I will incur over the course of living here. Lets remember I moved here when it was Beautiful. About 75 degrees everyday! On top of it, it was the last Summer month so everyone was living it up.... now things are starting to change a bit. Winter def takes a toll on you. It gets dark at 4:30 and if it's raining forget about it... you just want to stay inside. Of course, you still get out... it just is different.

Halloween and the parade

Halloween in the city was something I was excited about, but I am actually looking forward to next year a little more just because now I know what to expect and because it was freezing this year and I got to the parade a little late... which meant tons and tons of people.... which you can see in the pic below. The parade is in the West Village and it goes along a bunch of streets, not sure how many, but enough to fit a gazillion people ha ha. The thing I love about New Yorkers, they are always down to have fun and when the weather is nice, they appreciate it so much!
