I have been in NYC for almost 2 weeks now...actually the 2 week marker is today! I have literally been running around (more walking he he) and getting to know the city. At first I wasn't sure if this was the right move (no pun intended)... but after 2-3 days of sadness and self pity I got out of the house & ventured. As you can see from the pics in the blog,I put myself out there and in return made friends, went to some awesome hoop jams, saw some awesome art and went around a lot of the city. The subways some days are scary but only because I am not used to them. They really are pretty safe and you just have to be aware of your surroundings. The village where Jamielynn lives is very young. It is a lot of college kids and people who want to have a good time. I can't wait to start having an income again because I really want to go SHOPPING!! There are literally hundreds beyond hundreds of stores and I have put blinders on because savings is not for clothes & considering I have like 10 boxes in storage.... I probably should not be buying clothes lol. Anyways, yes so I am here 2 weeks and I got a job & I started training last Thursday... I end Tuesday... so hopefully I will be on the floor Wednesday & Thursday and then Friday its back to Florida!! I started school Friday and will return Monday... I really like the school, very hands on for a hospitality major like myself. Lastly, I am still dealing with insurance crap with my car... but hey as an adult you just deal with it and move on.... Well, the that's all folks.... living <3ing NYC ;)
ps. Irene is ok right now, it downgraded to a TS... hoping life will be back in order later tonight.

My first day back in the city, which I reached by ferry via NY waterway. The day was spent venturing to my new school City Tech & my new residence which is in Manhattan. The room I will be living in is called the "Moon Room"... you'll understand that when I post the pics of it. My neighborhood is very charming, I am in between two parks. One of them is Central Park & the other is Riverside Park, which overlooks the Hudson River. When you walk around the neighborhood it has almost a carr-ish vibe to it... with the apartments with beautiful doors, trees & of course the unforgettable stoops. In this blog I will try & continue to post my journey in the NYC.... hopefully it will be unforgettable... we will see. Until then xoxox L
